Dear Friends,

Greetings and a warm welcome to the 2nd International conference on Soaps, Detergents & Cosmetics organized by The Oil Technologists’ Association of India jointly with the Chemicals Export Promotion Council.

The first International conference was held in Goa in 2005 and had received a very enthusiastic response which has encouraged us to organize this event. This business conference aims at providing an interaction platform between global S&D industry associations and a networking platform for industry players across the world.

The theme of the conference is “Sustainable growth with Responsive Care” and will focus on green technologies, renewable resources and environmentally friendly industry practices.

There are four keynote addresses and presentations by industry leaders on markets, technology innovations, raw materials, product dynamics and emerging business models. We also have two short courses on “Recent advances in Sulfonation Technologies” and “Cosmeceuticals & Nutraceuticals” being conducted by leaders in these fields.

To facilitate a dialogue between the industry associations we have a panel discussion which will review areas of common interests and discuss on the harmonized tariffs, regulatory issues and product labeling requirements. A Roundtable discussion on the theme of the conference is organized on the 15th morning and should provide a dynamic platform for interaction between the panelists and the delegates.

Coupled with the business discussions, we have also arranged lighter moments for the delegates and I am sure the hospitality of the Goans will be there for all to cherish and remember.
